MasterCard and Bloomberg issued a report in recent days that the demand in the United States for gasoline fell by 3.4%. This is the biggest drop in more than three months. The average pump price fell to $3.29 per gallon, which is down one penny and also is indicative of the lowest level since Feb. 25. Prices were 11 percent higher than a year earlier.
